Respect and Behaviour Expectations Statement
Positive Help is committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for staff, volunteers, service users, visitors, partner organisations and others engaging with our work.
We are committed to ensuring that everyone engaging with Positive Help is treated with dignity, respect and fairness.
We do not expect staff or volunteers to tolerate:
Threatening or intimidating behaviour.
Sexual harassment or sexual misconduct.
Racist, homophobic, transphobic or other discriminatory abuse.
Physical aggression.
Bullying or repeated personal abuse.
Harassment linked to a protected characteristic.
If behaviour causes an individual to feel intimidated, threatened, humiliated, unsafe or otherwise uncomfortable, concerns should be raised and will be taken seriously.
Where concerns arise, Positive Help will:
Listen and respond appropriately.
Consider the impact on those involved.
Take proportionate action to prevent recurrence.
Review arrangements and safeguards where necessary to protect staff, volunteers, service users and others.
Support staff and volunteers who raise concerns.
Take appropriate steps to protect staff, volunteers, service users and others from further harm.
We ask everyone engaging with Positive Help to support these expectations and help create a safe and respectful environment.
Where these standards are not met, Positive Help will take proportionate action. Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
Reviewing arrangements.
Introducing additional safeguards.
Restricting contact.
Pausing activities or services.
Suspending or withdrawing services or support arrangements.
Ending partnerships, contracts or other working relationships.
Referring matters to appropriate agencies where necessary.
Staff, volunteers and others engaging with Positive Help should raise concerns early so that Positive Help can respond promptly, fairly and proportionately.
