Volunteers’ Week 2019 – Volunteers’ Social

To celebrate Volunteers’ Week, we are pleased to invite you to our Volunteers’ Social on Monday 10th June, 5:30pm- 8.30pm, at our office at 139 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4JY.

The evening will include a presentation from Dr Richard Cosway considering a question that is close to many of us: why is it so challenging to care for people who need help?

Richard is a clinical psychologist who has worked with many patients living with long-term physical health conditions, including HIV and Hepatitis C.

Richard will explore how the associated mental health issues of those living with long-term health conditions, can affect their behaviour towards those trying to help them. There will also be plenty of time to talk to other volunteers and have some fun!

5.30pm  – Doors Open, Refreshments Available

6.00pm – Dr Richard Cosway Presentation

7pm – Questions/Discussion

7.30pm – Refreshments and Time to Socialise
